For Authors

The Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts (JLA) welcomes manuscripts that discuss issues relevant to arts, entertainment, media, and intellectual property law. We review submissions throughout the year, making most offers of publication in July and August.

To submit an article for consideration, please send an e-mail with the submission and author’s CV attached to our Executive Submissions Editor at submissions@lawandarts.org. We also accept electronic manuscripts by submission through ExpressO and Scholastica.

The Journal is committed to publishing a diverse, inclusive range of scholarship. We believe that the arts and legal communities are greatly enriched by articles which discuss a broad variety of legal issues and which represent the work of authors from all sorts of backgrounds.
